An old video of Shehla Rashid being detained by the Delhi Police is being shared on social media with the false claim that she has been arrested recently.
In the the video one can spot Rashid being dragged by lady police constables as she shouts, "Find Najeeb" as she is being taken away.

The video was shared by a Facebook page named Jammu Kashmir TV with the caption, "Dehli Police arrested Kashmiri leader and Former JNU president Shehla Rashid. Shehla Rashid, and gen. sect. Jammu Kashmir People's Movement arrested for speaking up against repression and brutal practices of BJP government in Kashmir."
The post had gained around 11 thousand views and was shared by 1,306 users.
The page later updated its caption to say that the video was old.
Rashid who is part of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement political (JKPM) party has been in the news recently after she had alleged on Twitter that Indian Army personnel tortured four men in Shopian district of Kashmir. A charge, the Indian Army denied.

Najeeb Ahmed who's name one can hear Rashid shouting in the video was a first-year MSC Biotechnology student in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), who went missing on October 15, 2016.
Several users on Facebook pointed out that the video is old and it is from protests organised after the disappearance of Ahmed.
We searched with the keywords 'Shehla Rashid arrested' and 'Najeeb protest' and found the same video uploaded by The Indian Express on YouTube on October 21, 2016.
According to a PTI report republished by The Times of India, JNU students had staged a protest outside the Home Ministry alleging inaction by government agencies in tracing Ahmed.
Additionally there are no news reports of Rashid being arrested, and we checked her timeline and found that she has been active on Twitter on August 22, 2019.
