A picture of a 2017 meeting between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL) is being shared online as the Ambani family donating ₹500 crores for building a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The image, which shows Ambani greeting Adityanath with a bouquet of flowers, is viral on various social media platforms. The post has more than 7,300 shares from one group alone.

FACT CHECK
A reverse image search of the photo shows that it from 2017. The same image was carried by Hindi daily Jagran, in an article dated December 23, 2017. The headline came before the Uttar Pradesh Investors' Summit was held the following February, and this meeting was held in Mumbai.
The same photo was carried by the Times of India on the same day. The article also shows Ratan Tata, former chairman of the Tata Group, meet Adityanath.
BOOM has reached out to an RIL spokesperson for a comment and will update the story on hearing from them.
On November 9, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of granting the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya to representatives of the Hindu community through a government trust, which has built a pathway for the construction of a Ram temple.
