Bhutan Announces First Nationwide Lockdown

Bhutan has announced its first nationwide lockdown as the total number of cases in the country reached 113. The country has reported the lowest cases in South Asia and has not reported any fatalities.

The decision for the lockdown comes after a woman who returned from Kuwait had first tested negative during quarantine but later tested positive. In the interim, she was in close proximity of people in Timphu, the country's capital.
