Chennai Reports Dip In COVID-19 Positivity Ratio

Chennai has reported a dip in COVID-19 positivity ratio even as it ramps up testing, reports PTI. The city has now reported a positivity ratio of about 12%, down from 37% a month ago. GCC Commissioner G Prakash said that the 12-day lockdown also helped in reducing the virus' transmission. "When 4,000 samples were tested in the past, there were 1,400-1,500 positive cases. And of the 13,000 samples being tested now, only 1,200 to 1,250 positive cases are being reported," Prakash said.
