India Reports Record 45k Rise In COVID-19 Cases

India reported a record one-day increase in total COVID-19 patients after 45,720 people tested positive for the disease taking the total case count to 12,38,635. The number of active cases stands at 4,26,167 while 7,82,606 patients have been cured or discharged so far. 1,129 patients died due to the disease taking the death toll to 29,861. The global case count rose to 1,53,74,851 while the death toll rose to 6,30,217.
