India's COVID-19 Death Toll Nears 7,000

India added more than 9,000 new COVID-19 cases for the fourth day in a row on Sunday. 9,971 patients tested positive in the last 24 hours to take the total case count to 2,46,628. 287 patients died to take the death toll to 6,929. India has now overtaken Spain in the total number of cases in the world and is now the fifth-worst hit country after the USA, Brazil, Russia and the UK.
