Lockdown Reimposed in Bengaluru
Karnataka's Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced on Saturday that the government has decided to impose a total lockdown in Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural district for the period of 7 days. This would start on Tuesday July 14 8pm onward and would last for a week, citing expert suggestions and the growing number of cases of COVID-19. He reassured that the flow of essentials in the city would continue without inhibition.
All essential services including supply of milk, vegetables, fruits, medicines and groceries will continue uninterrupted. I appeal to people to cooperate with the government, follow all guidelines, take all precautionary steps and help us contain the pandemic. (2/2)
