Oxford And Imperial To Test Inhaled Versions Of Vaccines

British researchers plan to test the Oxford and Imperial vaccine candidates by introducing them through the nasal route to check if they are acting on the upper respiratory tract, reported Reuters.

Currently, both the vaccine candidates are being administered through intramuscular injections.

The new trials of the vaccines will see volunteers receive aerosolised vaccines through a nebulizer, wherein the vaccine will be delivered as airborne droplets through a mouthpiece. A total of 30 people will be recruited to the trials.
