Sharjeel Imam Tests Positive For COVID-19 In Guwahati Jail

Student activist Sharjeel Imam, charged with allegedly making inflammatory speeches which led to violence at Jamia Milia Islamia University in Delhi last year, has tested positive for COVID-19, reports India Today. Imam was supposed to be transferred to Delhi Police's custody but was tested COVID-19 positive in a screening before his transfer. He will now be taken to Delhi only when he is cured of the disease.
