UK Economy Shrank By Record 20.4% In April Due To COVID-19 Lockdown

The UK's economy shrank by a record 20.4% in April due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the country's Office for National Statistics said on Friday. The report also states that from February to April, the economy declined by 10.4% compared to the previous three-month period. The decline is three times greater than the decline witnessed during the 2008-09 economic crisis.
