Can We Get Legislation Back On Track?

The monsoon session of the Parliament saw only 9% productivity in the Rajya Sabha and 48% in the Lok Sabha. Can legislation be brought on track?

Only one Bill — the Delhi High Court (Amendment) Bill, 2014, passed by Rajya Sabha in the previous session which was passed by Lok Sabha during this session — was passed by both Houses. The Lower House passed four Bills in all, but the Upper House did not pass any. The GST bill remains in limbo.

Senior journalist Shankkar Aiyar, Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha and M. R. Madhavan, the President and co-founder of PRS Legislative Research, weigh in on the subject on #IndiaHangOut.
