Aniruddha Guha tells you in 90 seconds on this week’s episode of Dedh Minute Review whether to watch or drop Kill Dil.
Shaad Ali returns to film making after seven long years post Jhoom Barabar Jhoom with Kill Dil. The plot in Kill Dil revolves around two boys who grow up to be contract killers. Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar play the merciless assassins who work for a don, essayed by Govinda. Predictably, Ranveer Singh’s character falls in love with Parineeti Chopra’s character and wants to reform himself. This movie is exactly how you’d expect to be: an action sequence here, a punch line there and then a song. Only in a Bollywood movie would a female character forgive the Hindi film hero, despite him acting like a scumbag. Govinda does a splendid job as the bad guy and is perhaps the only watchable aspect of this movie.
