Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain Admitted To Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital due to a "high-grade fever" and "sudden drop in oxygen levels", Jain tweeted today. The Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital is one of the five public hospitals dedicated to treating COVID-19 in Delhi.

COVID-19 Death Toll Inches Towards 10,000 Mark In India
According to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported 380 deaths to take the death toll to 9,900. India has now recorded the eighth-highest deaths in the world overtaking Belgium. 10,667 new cases were reported as the total case count rose to 3,43,091.
Health Experts Committee Recommend Tightening Lockdown Relaxations In Chennai
In a meeting with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Health Experts Committee today recommended tightening relaxations given for lockdown in Chennai, the AIADMK said in a tweet. Chennai has reported 31,217 cases so far with 347 deaths.

No Lockdown In Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has dismissed rumours of an impending lockdown being imposed in Delhi. Delhi ranks third in the number of COVID-19 cases reported with 41,182 cases. 1,327 deaths have been reported in Delhi so far.
Many people are speculating whether another lockdown in Delhi in being planned. There are no such plans.

Railways Resumes Local Train Services For Essential Staff
The Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway (CR) have resumed services of local trains in Mumbai for essential staff as deemed by the Maharashtra government. The trains are not open for general public. As per the SOP issued by WR, only 700 passengers will be allowed on a train as opposed to it's 1,200 capacity to allow for physical distancing.

India Reports 11,502 New COVID-19 Cases; 325 Dead Due To The Disease
According to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported 11,502 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours to take the total case count to 3,32,424. 325 deaths have been reported as the death toll rose to 9,520. Maharashtra, with 1,07,958 cases and 3,950, accounts for about one-third of the total cases and deaths respectively.
COVID-19 Testing In Delhi To Be Tripled: Amit Shah
As the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi near 39,000, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that testing in the national capital will be ramped up by three times in the coming week. He also mentioned that every police station in the containment zones will soon have testing facilities.
Shah also stated through a tweet that the Centre will provide 500 coaches to Delhi, to overcome the shortage of beds.
These announcements came shortly after a joint meeting between the Home Minister, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal among others.

India Adds Record 11,929 COVID-19 Cases; Death Toll Crosses 9,000
India added a record 11,929 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours to take the total case count to 3,20,922. The death toll crossed the 9,000 mark after 311 patients succumbed to the disease. The death toll stands at 9,195. Globally, 7,872,619 positive cases and 432,475 deaths have been reported so far.
MoHFW Adds Loss Of Taste And Smell To COVID-19 Symptoms
In revised clinical management protocol of COVID-19 published on Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Family welfare has added loss of smell (anosmia) or loss of taste (ageusia) to the list of COVID-19 symptoms. The addition comes after the US' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added "new loss of taste or smell" to it's list of symptoms.
