The much awaited movie of the year, superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali is in theatres today. The movie marks the return of Rajinikanth after his 2014 release 'Lingaa'. Kabali hits around 4000 screens including the South Indian states- Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Andhra Pradesh today.

The movie had a grand release in the U.S., U.K., U.A.E, Australia, New Zealand and other key international markets. It is releasing on more than 400 screens in U.S.A. and 90 screens in U.A.E.
With hopes of earning more than double the amount shelled into the making of the movie, Kabali is riding high on expectations. The film is made on a budget of Rs 1 billion, or U.S. $14,892,126. The movie has already earned Rs 200 crore with the sale of music and satellite rights etc.
There have been recent reports that the pirated version of the movie was available online. Besides, the opening scene of Rajinikanth was leaked online yesterday.
