Maharashtra Drought: Water Trains Alleviate Crisis Situation In Latur

Jaldoot Express, commissioned by the railway ministry in collaboration with the Maharashtra government, is one of the key measures to alleviate the water-crisis situation in Latur district of Maharashtra. The water train transports half a million litres of water on each of its journeys from Miraj in Sangli district to Latur.
