An Art Detective has theorised that there are similarities in Mona Lisa's mysterious smirk to other paintings Leonardo da Vinci did of his lover Gian Giacomo Caprotti, who was nicknamed Salai, or the Little Devil.

Silvano Vincenti, who has been analyzing da Vinci’s world-renowned painting for years, believes it is not just based on Lisa Gherardini, a Florentine merchant’s wife, but also the artist’s supposed main male lover, Gian Giacomo Caprotti.
