Pluto's exotic and incredibly varied landscapes dazzle in the images, captured by NASA's New Horizons space probe. The images, which feature a resolution of about 260 feet (80 meters) per pixel, were captured by NASA's New Horizons spacecraft during its epic flyby of Pluto on July 14, 2015.

The images include a wide variety of Pluto’s terrain from rocky mountains to flat ice plains. The images depict a strip of terrain that runs almost the entire length of one side of the dwarf planet and is approximately 50 miles (80.5 km) wide.
New Horizons traveled 3 billion miles from Earth to capture these incredible images, and scientists say it will take up to 16 months from the mission last July to fully transmit all the data.
