Nepal on April 25, 2015 was struck by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that killed about 9,000 people, and caused economic destruction worth $4 billion. A year on, the Nepalese economy is still suffering the aftershocks as tourism industry has not picked up - the main stay of most nepalese people and close to 25 lakh people are still living in temporary structures.
