A five-month old image from a flood-ravaged Australia has been shared with a caption claiming that the image is from Bihar, where flood has recently wreaked havoc.
The states of Bihar and Assam are reeling under devastating floods with the death toll touching nearly 200 and affecting more than one crore people.

The caption with the image reads 'ignored by people, not a big issue, no help, coz its Bihar...not Mumbai or Kerala. Sad reality, Bihar is drowning.'
The image has been shared by several other Facebook profiles with the same claim.

BOOM ran a reverse image search on the picture and found several news websites carrying the same image stating that it was taken during the devastating flooding of northeast Australia this February.
We closely looked at the photo of the flooding shared on CNN's website and found the name of the photographer on the top-right portion of the image.
BOOM checked Getty Images under Hitchcock's name and found similar photographs of the Townsville flooding clicked by him.
Earlier this year, heavy rains in northeast Australia had resulted in the flooding of Townsville city in Queensland. The flood waters had forced thousands of people to evacuate their homes. Read more about the flooding here and here.
