A video in which spectators can be heard raising the slogan 'Chowkidar hi chor hai' during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Monday, is going viral on social media.
'Chowkidar Chor Hai' or (the watchman is a thief) is a political slogan used by Congress President Rahul Gandhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi while alleging corruption in the Rafale aircraft deal.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by the prime minister has countered the attack by adding the prefix of 'Chowkidar' to his Twitter handle and urged other BJP leaders and supporters to do so as well.

BOOM went through the five hours match video uploaded on the Hotstar app and found that the slogan was indeed chanted. At the 2.30.32 time stamp one can hear the slogan being chanted in the background by a few spectators in the stadium.
