Jitender Bhargava served India's national carrier for 20 years, 13 of which was as an executive director. After his retirement, he authored a book called 'The Descent Of Air India' which chronicled the downfall of the airliner from its once iconic status. However, soon after its release, its publisher Bloomsbury decided to withdraw all copies from the market because of the multiple defamation cases filed by then Civil Aviation Minister - Praful Patel. Jitendra Bhargava had vowed to make the book accessible to readers in some form and it has now been released as a revised edition in 2016. He speaks to BOOM Founder-Editor, Govindraj Ethiraj.
