Rahman Abbas Returns His Sahitya Academy Award, Asks Writers To Take A Stand

Urdu novelist and Sahitya Academy Award winner Rahman Abbas has decided to return his award to the State. He announced this decision in an open letter that he has penned to his fellow writers.

Rahman Abbas has five novels to his name and is the recipient of the National Award for Literature by the Universal Center for Peace and Research. Abbas’s name also figures under the list of ‘famous Urdu novelists in the 21^st century’ in Wikipedia.
