Rajasthan's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Madan Lal Saini made a claim on Wednesday that when Mughal Emperor Humayun was on his deathbed, he told his father Babur to respect cows, Brahmins and women in order to continue ruling India.
A report by ANI states that the Rajasthan BJP President said, "When Humayun was dying, he called Babur and told him -if you want to rule Hindustan, you must keep three things in mind- respect cows, brahmins and women," he told reporters.

But, did Humayun really give this advice to his father on the deathbed? Could he have even met Babur when he was dying?
Babur, Humayun's father died in 1531, at least 25 years before Humayun lay on his deathbed and died in 1556. Rajasthan BJP President, Madan Lal Saini seems to have confused the two (Humayun and Babur) as he says that Humayun was giving an advice to his father when Humayun lay on his deathbed. It also appears that Saini believed that Babur was the successor of Humayun.
Twitteratis were quick to make fun of Saini, giving him some lessons in history and relationship between Babur and Humayun.
When Humayun was dying he called up Babur and said - "Whenever you go to Churchgate for work from Andheri always take return ticket. It is cheaper"

This statement comes two days after Indresh Kumar of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) said, "Lynchings will stop if people stop eating beef."

Both the statements come at a time when a 28-year-old Muslim man named Akbar Khan was beaten to death in Alwar, Rajasthan by a group of people on suspicion of smuggling cows. Khan with his friend Aslam, were transporting two cows through a forest area when they were attacked by the villagers of Ramgarh's Lalawandi village. Aslam managed to escape but Akbar was thrashed.
