An old video of police lathi-charge to disperse a Hindu group in Agra is viral on Twitter with false claims of atrocities meted out to Muslims by cops while they were praying at a mosque.
The 1.09 minute video, which had been viewed more than 9000 times at the time of writing this article, documents a violent lathi-charge by police as several people can be seen running for cover.
In the later half, people scale up a wall, as cops chase them.

Warning: Violence alert.
BOOM has also observed that several Pakistani handles have retweeted the video and also expressed grave concerns regarding the safety of Muslims in India.
Fact Check
A close observation of the video spells out the fact that it is not from any mosque, as none of the tortured were wearing skull caps, nor were they in a traditional Islamic outfit that is worn while offering namaaz at mosques.
BOOM then broke the video into key frames and ran a reverse image search. The video is available online since June, last year.
We were directed to a YouTube video by a local news channel Channel 9, which narrated an incident of lathi-charge on Hindu Jagran Manch karyakartas at the Aligarh SSP karyalay gate, as the muted video played.
We looked up news reports and found that the incident happened in Aligarh, in June last year. The Aligarh police resorted to lathi-charge when activists of Hindu Jagran Manch locked the Special Superintendent of Police (SSP) office gate while protesting - The HJM was demanding the arrest of a man who was booked for an attempt to murder in 2018.
