The ICC T20 World Cup is the biggest tournament of T20 internationals conducted by the International Cricket Council. The first edition of the T20I championship took place in South Africa, 2007. The 2022 ICC T20 World Cup is the eighth and latest edition of the tournament, hosted by defending champion Australia for the first time. Eight teams went through a preliminary round with four teams later qualifying for the Super 12. Team India were drawn against Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, South Africa, and Zimbabwe in Group 2.
