It works to ensure the quality and safety of medicines, vaccines, and other health products, and provides information and advice on disease prevention and health promotion. WHO also works to promote research and innovation, to foster health systems strengthening, and to promote health in all policies. It supports countries in the development of sound health policies and systems, and in the implementation of internationally agreed health goals.
