Cold Wave In Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana; Christmas Was The Coldest Day Of The Season

Even as isolated pockets in several parts of north India such as Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan were experiencing cold wave conditions, Christmas turned out to be the coldest day of the season in Delhi.
On December 25, Delhi recorded a morning temperature of 5.3°C. The IMD also issued a fog warning for the next five days in parts of certain north Indian states — pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Western UP and northern Rajasthan.
The IMD also said that there was a possibility of dense for in the eastern part of India, the ANI reported. The report said, "Dense Fog in isolated pockets also very likely over Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Assam and Tripura in early morning hours of 25th December; over Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan in the night and morning hours of 25th-26th December and decreases in intensity thereafter."
