Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Ranks 32 On Forbes' 2023 List Of Powerful Women
Forbes released its 20th annual ranking of the World's Most Powerful Women, featuring women excelling in business, technology, finance, media & entertainment, politics & policy, and philanthropy.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is ranked at 32nd position on the list.
Three other Indian women named in the list are HCL Corporation CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra (60), Steel Authority of India chairperson Soma Mondal (70), and Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (76).
Ursula von der Leyen, the chief of the European Commission, secured the top spot on the list. Following closely behind, Christine Lagarde, the head of the European Central Bank, claimed the second position, with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris ranking third.
