An unlikely source of entertainment for many Brits is a live stream of jet planes struggling to land at Heathrow airport as they battle high-speed winds. Many planes made multiple attempts to land with mixed results.
London's O2 arena has also suffered damages to it as high-speed winds ripped out chunks of its fabric roof.
