The Haryana midfielder is a willing runner and her ability spring forward in attack has held her in good stead in the Indian team. Navjot has played 172 matches and scored 18 goals.

Gurjit Kaur
The 25-year-old is India's designated drag-flicker and it was her goal that won India the quarter-final match against Australia. Gurjit has played 87 matches and scored 67 goals.

Nikki Pradhan
The 27-year-old defender became the first player from Jharkhand to take part in the Olympics when she played for India at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Pradhan, who hails from an area which is considered to be Naxal stronghold, has played 104 matches and scored 2 goals.

Savita Punia
Hailing from Sirsa in Haryana, the 31-year-old has emerged as one of the finest goalkeepers India has produced. Punia was instrumental in India's 2017 Asia Cup win saving two penalties in the shootout in the final. She has played 202 matches for India.

Nisha Warsi
The 26-year-old is late bloomer having only made her Indian debut in 2019 but has since become a mainstay in the team. She has played nine matches and is yet to score a goal.

Vandana Katariya
The most experienced player in the Indian team after captain Rampal, Katariya became the first Indian woman to score an Olympic hat-trick when she helped India beat South Africa in the group stage. The 26-year-old has played 240 matches scoring 64 goals.

Udita Duhan
The defender from Hisar, Haryana was the captain of the Indian team which won bronze at the U-18 Asian Cup in 2016. She made her senior team debut a year later and has been a crucial member of the team ever since. The 23-year-old has played 32 matches and scored four goals.

The 21-year-old is the first hockey player from Mizoram to take part in the Olympics. Lalremsiami is one of India's best forwards playing 64 matches and scoring 23 goals.
