British Airways Introduces New Uniform For Crew, Includes Hijab And Jumpsuit

British Airways has unveiled a new uniform for its crew that includes hijab and jumpsuits as well.

Designed by British designer Ozwald Boateng, the new uniform came after a span of nearly 20 years. "More than 1,500 British Airways’ colleagues inputted into the design and testing of the new collection over the last four years, with secret trials in the air and on the ground," the airline said in a statement.

"The collection features a tailored three-piece suit for men with regular and slim fit style trousers and dress, skirt and trouser options for women, as well as a modern jumpsuit – which is an airline first. A tunic and hijab option has also been created for the global carrier," British Airways said.

"We wanted to create a uniform collection that our people are proud to wear and with the help of over 1,500 colleagues, we are confident that we have delivered this," British Airways CEO Sean Doyle said.
