Yogi Adityanath, Arvind Kejriwal Clash On Twitter Following PM Modi's Migrants Speech
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and UP CM Yogi Adityanath clashed on Twitter after Kejriwal slammed PM Narendra Modi for his claims on migrants in a Lok Sabha speech.
In his speech in the Lok Sabha, Modi claimed the Maharashtra and Delhi governments spread COVID-19 in UP and Bihar by telling migrants to go home at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kejriwal tweeted, "This statement of Prime Minister is completely false. The country hopes that the Prime Minister will be sensitive to those who have suffered the pain of the Corona period, those who have lost their loved ones. It does not suit the Prime Minister to do politics on the sufferings of the people."
In response, Adityanath claimed that the Delhi government forced migrant workers to leave the city and even left children and women at the Delhi border in the middle of the night.
Calling Kejriwal a liar, Adityanath went on to claim that the Delhi government cut off electricity and water supply and packed off migrants in buses to the UP border. He also claimed that the UP government arranged for buses to transport migrant workers.
Kejriwal shot back at Adityanath stating that the UP CM was a harsh and cruel ruler who spent crores for advertising in the Times magazine when bodies were being dumped in the Ganga.
