A shocking video capturing a shootout between members of two rival gangs in middle of a busy Delhi street is being shared falsely as an incident that happened in Mumbai and Bangalore, respectively.
The video which shows two men firing at a car with traffic around them coming to a halt and shell-shocked onlookers taking cover happened on May 19, 2019 in New Delhi area under the Dwarka road metro station.
According to the media reports, the incident left two gangsters dead.
The 12-second video is being shared on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp with two different captions - one claiming the shootout took place in Bangalore while another in Mumbai.
BOOM received the video from a reader asking about its veracity. The caption claimed, "Today there was a shootout in Hebbal road (This road leads to International Airport)."
The video was shared on Facebook and Twitter with a caption claiming the incident is from Ghatkopar in Mumbai.

BOOM looked for the term 'shootout video India' and found several news articles about a shootout in Delhi's Dwarka area featuring the same video.
Executive Editor of the Hindustan Times, Sachin Kalbag also replied to a tweet that the shootout happened in Delhi and not Mumbai.
Incidentally, a man was murdered in broad daylight in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area on May 21, 2019. An history sheeter and businessman Sanjay Dubey alias Bablu was stabbed to death multiple times outside an eatery in Ghatkopar. Read more about it here.
